02/06/16 What’s the Difference between ‘LOSE’ & ‘LOOSE’?

Lose is an irregular verb (lose – lost – lost), which means (1) to be unable to find, or (2) to fail to win.
Loose is an adjective. It is the opposite of tight.

Contrast:
I must be losing weight – my clothes all feel loose. (NOT  I must be loosing weight…)
