e-lesson

Shade is protection from the sun.
Examples:
I’m hot. Let’s find some shade to sit in.
The temperature is 30 degrees in the shade.

We use shadow when we are thinking of the “picture” made by an unlighted area.
Examples:
In the evening your shadow is longer than you are.
There’s an old story about a man without a shadow.
