Dilemma or Hobson’s Choice

If you face two bad options, you’re in a dilemma.
A Hobson’s choice, strictly speaking, is a take-it-or-leave-it situation: no choice at all.
But that literal meaning has been obscured in American usage, and today the phrase has come to mean, like dilemma, the choice between two evils.
