Let’s contrast two terms: Entitle and Entrust.
In its usual sense, to entitle is to give a right or legal title to. To qualify for, to furnish with proper grounds for seeking or claiming.
Entitlement: right to benefits, income or property which may be not abridged without due process.
In some systems the aggrieved party is entitled to damages in lieu of a notice period.
To give over to another something after a relation of confidence has been established. To deliver to another something in trust or to commit something to another with a certain confidence regarding his care, use or disposal of it.
You entrusted me with your children, and I will not fail them.
