3/5/19 GOALS OR OBJECTIVES

The terms goal and objective may sound the same, but they are actually quite different.
A goal is generally described as something you want to achieve in the future. Goals are long-term ideas that give a picture of what one wishes to accomplish over time. 

An objective, on the other hand, is a meaningful step on the path to achieving a goal. Objectives are much more specific than goals and tend to span over a shorter period of time.

To sum up, goals paint the broader picture of what you are trying to achieve, while objectives outline the specific steps to be taken in order to arrive at the end of a goal.
