10/10/17 What Does ZOPA Mean in Negotiations?
As we previously analyzed what BATNA meant in the field of negotiations, today we will analyze the concept of ZOPA.
The ZOPA, or zone of possible agreement, is a key concept to remember. ZOPA is the area or range in which a deal that satisfies both parties can take place.
Each parties’ reservation price determines one end of the ZOPA. The ZOPA itself exists (if at all) in the overlap between these high and low limits, that is between the parties’ reservation prices.
