  • Demonstration
a public meeting or march protesting against something or expressing views on a political issue.
  • Protest
a statement or action expressing disapproval of or objection to something.
  • Sit-in
any organized protest in which a group of people peacefully occupy and refuse to leave a premises.
an organized passive protest, especially against racial segregation, in which the demonstrators occupy seats prohibited to them, as in restaurants and other public places.
  • March

walk in a military manner with a regular measured tread.
So when we refer to an event such as 24M when the people walk to Plaza de Mayo to say Nunca Mas/Never Again and fight for MEMORY, TRUTH, AND JUSTICE, that is a demonstration and not a march (false friend = marcha).
