14/6/17 The Difference between Anxious and Eager
For Spanish speakers, this is important since anxious and ansioso or ansiosa are not equivalents, and are normally confused.
Anxious connotes an element of fear (think anxiety), so it should not be used as a synonym for eager. An anxiously awaited phone call is one you’d probable rather not answer, while an eagerly awaited call you’d pick up on the first ring.
